Come say hello if you have some free time and want to chat about music, check out the station or want to learn more about hosting a show with us!
Another exciting update is that we are officially live on air! As many of you may know, in previous years we have always streamed using platforms like youtube, younow and spotify, but now we have our own internet radio frequency! Using radio.co, we can now stream live 24/7/365! Huge thank you to our co-manager Jazz for setting this up.
Additionally, make sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss out on SVA’s club fair! taking place this Thursday, September 12th from 4 - 7 pm , WSVA will be there so come check out our booth and say hello!

STAFF SPOTLIGHT: CECI Rodriguez
Our first staff spotlight is CECI Rodriguez, one of our Social Media Coordinators! She recently saw King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizzard perform live, and here’s what she has to say about the experience:
“King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizzard performed at the Summer Stage in Central Park, which was super cool, except for the fact it was humid and raining for a bit of the concert (but once the rain stopped it was back to awesome.) I wasn't really wanting to be in the mosh pit/crowd since I'm really short and I wouldn't see the band much anyways, so I just sat down on the grass, listening to the music while slightly intoxicated. OH! There was gelato and I was so excited about that. They had food and drinks, obviously all overpriced, but there was this gelato truck pulled up to the side (selling really reasonably priced gelato may I say), I got the mango flavored gelato. It was so refreshing and tasty, helped with the slight dehydration you get from screaming lyrics all evening.”
